Parenting the Troubled Child

This Blog, is meant to be an opportunity to discuss and learn and experiment with new ideas, and/or different combinations of old themes to find what works. The topics may change from parenting to marriage, to sexual issues and relationship building. However, no matter what the topic, the mission of this Blog remains the same.

Let's face it, parenting is not easy. Children do not come with instruction manuals; and even if they did, since each child is special and different from all others and each parent is also different from any other; we would need to create a unique instruction manual for each set! Once we have had a child or two and we get use to a pattern of relating and disciplining that seems to work, we are suddenly given another gift, who does not fit the pattern and does not respond to the same sets of parenting rules that had been working up-to now.
However, there are basic principles that remain fairly constant. That was the impetus of my book  Instruction Manual for Your Child  This book was written with the parent of the difficult child in mind; to introduce the parent, in easy to understand language, the art of parenting; with the understanding that since each child is unique, and each parent is unique, that it serves as a guideline and not a bible. The book is available on line from Barnes and Nobles, Authorhouse, Amazon.com and other fine bookstores.
